I ordered this large 12x12 picture from http://www.scrapbooksplease.com/ I made the little filmstrip look with my Bind-it-all. I used my swirly doodles stencil with my signo white pen & glossy black fabric paint. I used my new Pooh font Cricut cartridge for the title. Since I homeschool that means I am also the school photographer, lol. So these are our 1st grade school pictures for her school book.

Tinker Belles
This was the t-ball team from fall 2007. I used ribbon, a few flowers & brads & lace with brads. I used my Swirly Doodles stencil from Hot Off The Press & I used my White Signo pen.
Softball
This is the title page for Parker's t-ball/softball album. The design is from a sketch by Lucy Chesna. My friend Cheryl from our meet up groups made the cool blue tags on her computer. I added flowers & rhinestones.
Log Ride
This was Parker's first log ride, she said she loved it but she was a little tense. :) This was from a www.pagemaps.com sketch. I painted the chipboard flowers & tag with regular acrylic paint & added buttons & ribbon.
My Friend
This was done for a contest called So You Think You Can Scrap. http://ymbd.blogspot.com/
This was for round 2. We had to create a layout based on the colors of our favorite ice cream! Mine is chocolate chip cookie dough at Baskin Robbins & my daughters is strawberry, & since most of my layouts are about her I combined our colors & this is what I came up with. I weaved the middle strip of Basic Grey papers, added a chipboard swirl, flowers, die cut flowers, a large piece of ric a rac, buttons, a piece of cardboard under the picture, inking & doodling. I also inked the flower in the middle with brown & I inked it onto the background of my cardstock for a neat effect. I made the picture of Parker & little Sam in sepia tone.
Swirls
This was a fast easy one. I inked these large chipboard swirls with my distressing ink, vintage photo. Then just added flowers & buttons. This was a sketched picture from one of those machines at Chuck E. Cheese.

Thoughts of Days Gone by
This is an awesome picture of my great Aunt, probably from the late 40's early 50's? This layout was made from a 'scrap pack' on http://www.scrapbook.com/ there is a challenge you can enter & she sends you a pack (everyone gets the same one) you have to do a layout with the things you receive. It was very challenging but this is what I came up with.
Hannah Montanna & Billy Ray--Halloween
This was 2007 & I still dress to match Parker for Halloween & she wanted to be Hannah last year! I thought it would be awful but it wasn't too bad being Billy Ray! LOL!!! People knew who we were! This was a sketch from http://www.pagemaps.com/ I used ribbons, buttons, cut stars out of paper, inking & glitter alphabet for the Halloween word.
Sassy!
Parker cut off 11 inches of hair & we donated it to Locks of Love & her new cut was so sassy & she just swished her hair around all day. So I wanted a 'sassy' layout. For the tinted picture I went to http://www.picnik.com/ to alter the photo, they have cool fun stuff & it is free! I used a border punch, ribbon & some felt flowers.

Altered desk
This was an old desk that a neighbor was throwing away & I asked if I could have it. I painted it with a base coat of rustoleum then the yellow is also rustoleum then I just used red acrylic. I used Mod Podge to apply the paper to the top then sealed it with Triple Thick Glaze.
Hotties
This layout was just too fun! It was a scrap your favorite sexy celebrity. Since I always have a few celeb crushes these are my recent ones, except Johnny Depp who has been on the list for quite a few years! Anyway, I used a real piece of cardboard then that ugly brick paper that I never knew what to do with, metal embellies, inking and a little bit of mesh.

Accidents Happen
This was for a quote challenge, I picked the quote 'accidents happen'. This was a fun day for her playing in the paint! It started out with pretty colors! lol! I used the Makin the Grade Cricut cartridge for the font. The patterned paper is some of the new stuff from Hobby Lobby. I inked the arrow & added ribbon.
Pink Hat
This is Parker in her pink hat doing her 'word' sign & just posing. I felt like this layout needed to be a little grungy. I love this Basic Grey paper with these pictures. I cut out the flowers & journaled around the petals & used brads. I sanded the pictures & crumpled the 2 bigger ones a bit.

The Bow
I used my Bind-it-All again on the sides & wove my ribbon through. I used a felt strip. The papers & embellies match the picture perfectly! The title is Thickers, I love these new alphabets!
Mommy & Me
This one used lots of buttons & some flowers on. I used my Bind-it-All to put my ribbon through & put it together.
Mickey Mouse
This was for a Disney Character challenge. I used my cricut & for the filmstrip look I used my Bind-it-All.
Splish Splash
This was for a water challenge. I love up close of parts. This is Parker & baby Jackson in the little baby pool. I used Diamond Glaze on the title to get the letters so shiny.
Butterfly Kisses
This was for the color challenge. It is different but it turned out okay. The paper was already made like that with the glitter swirls. I cut the butterflies out of the patterned paper I used. Too easy.
Time
This layout was published on the cover of Oh Scrap-- http://ohscrapnewsletter.spaces.live.com/ an online scrapbook magazine or ezine? I don't know the correct lingo. I am very excited! I painted on the background paper, I used a clock overlay, distressed the photo & put a hidden tag. The pic is my friend & her daughters.
Fall
This was from the scraplift the person before you challenge. I love Fall! This is the first time I used the felt strips, very cool!
I love Grandma
This layout was for a sketch challenge & it is so bright & fun, I love the colors & big flowers. I used my bobunny flex ruler to make my curves across the 2 pages. Lots of glitter.

Close To You
I did this for the song challenge. You had to use Close to You on the page so I made it my title. I printed this picture in black & white on a transparency & the colors of the paper showed through & gave it a really cool look. Then I sponge painted on the edge of the picture so it would blend in to the picture, I couldn't get my colors mixed just right to blend but it looks okay. I distressed & inked the edges on the paper, I inked the white lace & the white flowers to match. I used some Basic Grey die cuts & some charms. This is one of my daycare babies. :)
Sweet
This is for the lift yourself challenge, I did this layout for my daughter & now I did one for one of my daycare babies. I just love these feet layouts! This is actually from a sketch by Q-Diggity.
Pure Potential
I did this for an Ugly Paper challenge, I don't really like these papers but they look okay together. I don't really care for purple in my layouts for some reason but those were her team colors, I also wanted it girly because they were called the Girly Girlz, but then it started turning into some kind of flower thing so I made myself stop! LOL
This was my daughters first ever t-ball game. The journaling says- The first time you got up to bat at your 1st t-ball game you were 5 & I saw a spark in your eyes that let me know that this will be your sport. I should say that she is starting her 4th season in softball this fall. :)

I want 'fableeus'
This was done for a Creative Word challenge. My daughter loves High School Musical 1 & 2 and she is always singing the song Fabulous except that she says 'fableeus' it is just the cutest thing.
So I had to scrap it. I took the picture beside the tv while the actual song is on.

By the Sea
I love how this turned out after working on it forever. The frame around the picture is made from plastercraft it is a material that has plaster on it & you get it wet then mold it & then it dries hard, so I did the frame & then painted it with acrylic paint then smudged some different ink colors on it. I distressed the edges of my paper some with a blade distresser & some I just inked & rolled paper edges. I also distressed the edges of the 2 smaller photos. Then I just started adding things, the netting, sea shells, sea sponge etc. I attached the net with some hardware.
Let it snow.
We didn't have much of a winter here in the Dallas area this year, but on March 3rd a day after being 70 degrees, we got snow! Then again it came on Friday! Unbelievable. So I did a snow picture. This has a large variety of different types of snowflakes. The 2 large ones are chipboard painted with blue acrylic & sprinkled with glitter, the white glitter ones are stickers, then there are some ghost ones that I put blue glaze on & sprinkled with glitter, then I cut some out of a transparency on my Cricut & put the blue glaze with glitter on them also. Then I journaled across a little strip at the bottom of the pictures. The title is 3 different styles of lettering. The white ones are stickers, the middle is a snowfall font from my computer & the bottom are blue acrylic letters. Then I just started adding things, buttons, brads, rhinestones.

Red White & Boom
I did this for a Bling Challenge I love the way the circle came out. It is an 8" circle cut from the Accent Essentials cartridge on my Cricut, then i just put glue & sprinkled silver glitter. Then I added some fireworks stickers & ribbon & some stones on the paper. I also inked my edges with red & blue then put silver glitter around the edges.

Faith based challenge
This is for a faith based challenge. The journaling at the top says-'sometimes life just gets so overwhelming.' The scripture at the bottom is- Job 37:14 'Pay attention to this Job. Stop & consider the wonderful miracles of God.'
I actually took this picture last year for a photo hunt challenge I was in & I just loved it so I kept it in my pictures & I finally got to use it.
Hidden journal tag challenge
Okay, the challenges have started for July now! I finished 17 layouts in June! whew & I signed up for even more in July!
This layout is for a hidden journaling tag challenge.
Parker & I do a lot of stuff together & we got this sketch done in one of those machines on one of our outings to Gattitown.

Oldies but goodies...
Here are some old layouts they are still favorites, I thought I would add them here since they were already out when I started this.

Reese's
This was a fun layout to do! Not my fave but fun. It is for a challenge that is called Imperfect Lives & this one was for Weakness. This is definitely a huge weakness of mine! I love to have a bag every time I sit down to a long scrapping session & I 'HAVE TO' have some once a month!
I took pictures (the circle ones) of a bag as it was getting emptied. :) I also used actual wrappers to cover the circle chipboard & I cut the title from the bag.
The journaling says What do you mean they're gone?!?!?! I'm not done scrappin yet!
This will go into my Book of Me (BOM) for my daughter.

Techniques challenge
I saw a card or layout like this somewhere & can not remember where so I can't give full credit for the inspiration of this design! But I did this for a techniques challenge, use as many techniques as you can without overdoing it. So... I used dry emboss, inking, chalking, layering, paint, sewing, ribbon , pearls, stickers, rub-ons, mulberry paper, paper tearing. whew. And I like how it turned out.

Finished some more...
Wow! I am on a roll, I have never done so many layouts in such a short amount of time! I am really loving these challenges.
This Carousel one is for a bling challenge. Think there is enough? The large 8x10 photo was printed on a transperancy. You can't really tell on here as much as you can in real life. I used the Cricut Accent Essentials to make the little thingys on the side & I wove gold rope ribbon through it & added rhinestones. All the pictures are bordered with rhinestones. I also used them on the horses that had real rhinestones like on the reins. I cut the title out of Cricut Alphalicious & added stones to it.
This one is for a multi pic one page challenge. I actaully started this page & my 6 yr. old saw me getting it out & just begged me to let her help with it so she actually finished the page for me. She cut out all those flowers on her own! So I have to say this is a mother daughter effort.
This was for a scraplift the person before you challenge ( http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/150455/view/1473839/-1/0/1.html ) This is an old picture that my aunt emailed me so it was printed off my computer & it's not a great picture anyway but it turned out great with these papers! I just love this pic. It is my dad holding my baby brother & my grandaddy holding me.
This is for a sketch challenge. It was a hard sketch, took me a while to figure something out. These are 'my boys' They are inseperable very hard to get individual pictures. They were actually sitting side by side when I took these & I just cut each other seperate.:)

Sunshine on my shoulders
This was a lift from a lady at scrapbook.com -
http://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=109367&m=view&id=1498867&page=1&f=1
I did this layout for a 'Sunshine' challenge, it had to have sunshine in the title or a sun layout or just outdoor sun fun. So this song came to mind-- Sunshine on my shoulders make me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry..........
Anyway, I thought these pictures were the perfect match!
I used glitter paint in the flowers & on the white. I used a swirl stencil for the first time, I think it came out okay. The pen I used for the stencil was a white Signo Impact gel pen. I also used my Bo Bunny flex ruler, one of those tools I just had to have now & then rarely used it, glad it came in handy. :)

Silly faces
This was a fun one! I love the bright colors. I actually got these felt things from the summer aisle at Hobby Lobby. They were on a string, I guess you hang them for some kind of decor. But of course I see everything as something to put on a page!
The journaling says:
I have always taken lots of pictures of you &
had you posing for something.
Now you always come to me,
'mom take a picture of me or of this'
So you wanted pictures of different faces
& I think these turned out so cute!

Thinking...
I just love the look of this. I scraplifted it form a gallery on scrapbook.com This lady has the most incredible layouts!!! http://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=124253
Anyway, I printed the 8x10 in sepia then printed a 5x7 in black & white, the background paper matched the sepia picture pefectly! (I think it is Basic Grey from the Scarlet Letter series??) I added flowers & some copper pearls as the flower centers & then also placed them around. I also cut out a flowery thing & put it on pop dots to make it stand up.
